‘Tide Change’ Theme Table Decor
The 2019 SYC Commodore’s Ball returned to Semiahmoo Resort this year was a great success. The location, ambiance, staff and cuisine were outstanding! The beautiful and creative table decorations aligned with this year’s ‘Tide Change’ theme.
Live music for the evening by The Tropics was excellent, both during the pre-dinner reception and for dancing following dinner and the award presentations.
This year’s Commodore’s Award recognized Diane and Wayne K. (Gilliano) for their many exceptional contributions over the year. Outstanding Service Awards were presented to Leslie C. (Playmore), Bruce D. (Adventure), Dawn D. (Bramble), and Dave S. (My Girl). Paul B. (Audacity) received the top recruiter award. Cruise and land event hosts were appreciated with 2019 host pins.
The silent and live [featuring auctioneer Dick H. (Kindred Spirits)] auctions were successful in raising just over the SYC charitable donations made to Drayton Harbor Maritime Society toward historic The Plover, BC Marine Parks Forever Society and The Seadoc Society. A big thank you to Lynette M-R (Elysian) for coordinating our silent auction, and all who contributed to make it such a success. And finally, another huge thanks to the planning committee and group of decorators who made our Commodore’s Ball so perfect.
