On August 27 the Shemly’s hosted another successful SSS (Shemly Shoreside Shindig)

The 2022 SYC Shemly Shoreside Shindig was held on August 27th and SYC was blessed with great weather that provided a one-day reprieve from the August heat wave that had settled in over the Pacific Northwest. March Nauti Friday

March 2022 Semiahmoo Yacht Club hosted our Nauti Friday. It was held at Roadhouse in Canada and Bay Breeze in Blaine. It was enjoyed by many who had a great time getting together. It was great to see some old friends and to meet some new ones. We are looking forward to meet our new Members at some of the other Nauti Fridays in the future. Come and join us in April as we plan on outings on both sides of the Border.

2022 First Land Event

On January 14, 2022 the Semiahmoo Yacht Club hosted our first Nauti Friday. It was held at Viva Mexico in Langley. It was attended by 14 members who enjoyed great Mexican Food and some authentic live entertainment. It was great to see some old friends and to meet some new ones. We are looking forward to meet our new Members at some of the other Nauti Fridays in the future. Come and join us in February as we plan on outings on both sides of the Border.

2021 Sucia Shrimp Boil

Our Sucia (Fossil Bay) Shrimp Boil was held over the weekend of June 11 – 13, and we had a great time. We had 12 boats attend with 28 Members and Guests, and we signed up New Members Dave Hewlett and Wendy Colby! Welcome to the Club! 2021 Roche Harbor Memorial Day Cruise

Thirteen US based SYC boats with 33 members and guests enjoyed fun weekend at the Roche Harbor Marina over the Memorial Day Weekend. The group included several new members joining us for their first on the water event. Though the club is still not able to host any formal group events, members still managed to have a weekend of fun and camaraderie. 2021 Ice Breaker Cruise

Owing to the current border status, our traditional Ice Breaker Cruise was held at two separate locations, one on each side of the border. Come Play in the Dirt

On the evening of Wednesday April 28th, nineteen of the SYC ladies and friends gathered at Van Wingerden’s Nursery for an appropriately socially-distanced Annual Come Play in the Dirt event. Jen Wingerden gave an excellent lecture on “New Plants for the Season” and about how to arrange flowers for both shade and sun.
