2016 Annual General Meeting
SYC Commodore Lynette Morris-Reade convened the club's Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday March 19 at the Blaine Marina Meeting Room. This is the one true business meeting of the year and a wide range of topics were discussed. In a joint SYC / BBVYC educational event held this month at the Birch Bay Village Clubhouse, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officer Eric Brand presented the new Small Boat Reporting procedures that went into effect this year, applicable to all foreign flagged vessels. A Night at the Races
For our March 'Nauti-Friday' event, the club ventured north for a night of food, fun and spirited wagering at the Elements Casino / Fraser Downs Race Track in Cloverdale, BC. Members enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner in the Homestretch trackside dining area, while watching the racing action from our terraced seating area through the floor-to-ceiling windows. SYC in the Holiday Spirit
Semiahmoo Yacht Club members displayed the spirit of the holiday season and a dedication to helping our community this month with generous contributions to both the local food bank and the U.S. Marine Corps 'Toys for Tots' campaign.
