Sidney by the Sea Cruise

Cruise Host Laura

The cruisers to the unique seaside town of Sidney started off Friday evening with appetizers and a boat hop. The boat hop was a fun way to get better acquainted with fellow SYC members and meet guests.

On Saturday night one group visited beautiful Butchart Gardens, enjoyed great musical entertainment by the Sutcliffes Band, which was followed by an ethereal fireworks performance. The fireworks choreography and music were magnificent. To top off the evening, a pipe organ concert played in the conservatory above us as we followed the paths through the illuminated gardens for our return to the Marina. It was truly a magical evening.

For the group who stayed back at the Marina, a Bar B Que was held in the

event tent. It was a team effort to pull it all together with everyone taking on one or more tasks to make for a fun evening of food and merriment.

Sunday morning we got together over breakfast to exchange tales and visit before departing. Another weekend of great fun and fair weather was had by the 11 boats that participated.

Thanks to all who joined and helped with yet another great SYC crusing event!
