Semiahmoo Yacht Club members displayed the spirit of the holiday season and a dedication to helping our community this month with generous contributions to both the local food bank and the U.S. Marine Corps ‘Toys for Tots‘ campaign.
At our recent Christmas Party & Lighted Boat Parade event, members where asked to bring food donations to support the Blaine Food Bank. A total of over 260 pounds of food was contributed.
At a traditional turnover of the SYC Board event later in the month, attendees where asked to bring unwrapped toys (or cash) donations for the ‘Toys for Tots’ campaign. Once again, members stepped up and donated dozens of toys and a fair amount of cash to support less fortunate children within our local community.
